SiteSage can monitor electricity for any number of buildings, electrical panels or circuits. The technology is suitable for installations with single-phase 120/240V service as well three-phase 208V, 240V, 480V, and 600V.
The SiteSage M electricity meter (also known as the ePod) is typically installed inside an electrical panel, but can be located adjacent to the panel. The ePod is powered by 120V by a circuit inside the panel. A step down transformer may be required to provide the correct voltage. Current transformers (CTs) clamp around the mains or wires connected to each circuit and then plug into the Ppod or xPod.
Figure 1. SiteSage ePod 7" x 1.875" x 2.5" (L x H x W). The ePod supports 15 CTs.
Figure 2. SiteSage xPod 3.75" x 0.875" x 1.875" (L x H x W). Up to 3 xPods can be daisy chained to an ePod. Each xPod supports 10 CTs.
Figure 3. SiteSage gateway 5.25" x 1.5" x 3.25" (L x H x W). The gateway can support up to 10 SiteSage epods if they are within 30 feet. The communication between the two devices can pass through walls but is impacted by construction materials.
Standard current transformer (CT) sizes are 20A, 50A, 150A, 300A, 600A, and 1000A. Different CT options are available upon request. CT's are good for 10% to 130% of their rated capacity. A circuit will typically use about 60% of its rating. Consequently, a 20A CT is suitable for a 40A circuit. 50A CTs are good for 70A circuits. 150A CTs are appropriate for 200A / 225A mains or subpanel feeds. Shop for CTs in the PowerWise online store.
